Dr. Nick Savidov

Dr. Nick Savidov, PhD, is the Senior Research Scientist and CCA NSERC Aquaponics Project Lead with Lethbridge College. Dr. Savidov is an internationally recognized expert in Integrated Food Production Systems, such as aquaponics, and agro-ecology. His research in the last 15 years has focused on the conversion of organic waste into mineralized nutrient solutions to create zero-waste food production systems. Dr. Savidov was also one of the first researchers in Alberta who studied commercial LED lights for crop production from early 2000s until present.

The Gold Leaf Technologies team is honoured to have Dr. Savidov onboard in an advisory capacity to provide plant physiology expertise, as well as research and development input.
